I joined the official board 3 or 4 years ago....it ain't the same, and not for the better. Let them create their own reasoning for this board, but we know the real reason this board was started.
This is a safe haven where we can say what we want, without worrying about some 12 year old on Mommy's computer jumping in with garbage posts and attitude one can only get behind a keyboard.
On the internet, EVERYBODY drives a Ferarri, Looks like Brad Pitt, and has a black belt...LOL.
It's the conspiracy mentality. If someone isn't involved in something because they didn't know or because they weren't invited, it's a conspiracy against them. Ergo, you either are with them or against them.
Because of this we all tend to get painted over with the broad brush when one or more of "our" members speak out on the other board.
For example...Baimun's quest to get banned over there resulted in us all being labeled troublemakers. EQ's latest remarks in all threads non-McFarlane I suspect may have caused the recent stir.
I'm not judging these two individual's actions. I am merely pointing out that with the current "us" versus "them" mentality...we all take the hit.

I now post infrequently over here and there... and after reading both boards and being impartial it's plain to see that they should have no problem with this board.
It's hilarious how they placed me, Chesh, Hoffman, etc. in the category of "middle-aged" because that is what kids do. They blindly classify things and make damn sure they don't have all the information they need to make a decision or opinion.
Being a member was never about your age, it was never about what toys you collected, and it was never about making personal vendettas or telling anyone that because their opinion wasn't the same as your's that they suck and are wrong (but it was fun to do to n00bz occaisionally).
Like EQ would say from time to time, the Spawn board was a Brotherhood... a place where people came together to talk about their hobby and share the latest news. It was a place for people to share their customs, collections, and even a place where a lot of people were able to be helped (toy drives, sales, trades, etc). I can't even begin to count the number of times I heard things about one of you guys or gals helping someone out and often times for nothing in return.
That is the community that the Spawn board was at times and is supposed to be, but the n00bz over there can't see that, and some of the regs forgot that. They do seem jealous, and in many ways hurt that this board exists, but that is life. Shit happens and you move on. Plus, this is the internet, not the real world.
I know most of you still read the board and post once in awhile, and I think that once they realize that you aren't gone, that you just don't come around as often as you used to, that everything will be ok.

Exactly WHAT DID baimun do over at the other board?? I missed the meat of the fight, all I knew the outcome was this wonderful board...
